Tech tip π This question came up during the DMM class at the Getaway. 12vdc and 120 vac grounds. On hour fifth wheel when we took delivery, the factory installed 12 volt DC and 120 volt AC grounds were attached to our rig using a single self-tapping screw into sheet metal. When I went to check to see if they were tight, as you can guess they were not. Thus the tech tip for the day, locate a solid piece of metal in your battery Bay, drill a hole clean the paint off of the surface on both sides, and using a bolt, star washer and nylock, attach both types of grounds solidly to your chassis. (DC will typically be 4 gauge) This will allow for better charging from your house charger and row rig to your 12 volt batteries, and solid ground continuity to the Earth ground from your 30 or 50 amp wire coming from the post. This will help prevent a hot skin condition amongst other things. Hope this helps safe travels and Happy camping π
